Goal: $1,000.00
$3,368.76 donated
This hike is in memory of Natalie Duncan, beloved daughter, whom we lost to suicide on August 2. Our grief is still very raw, but this is a hike of healing in her honor, and for everyone who is suffering from mental anguish. It is particularly for thru-hikers and others who, like Natalie, have difficulty accepting help for their mental pain.
Mt. Washington was part of Natalie’s 2022 southbound trek on the Appalachian Trail. She finished the AT at Springer Mountain that December. “Delorean” was such an amazing hiker and friend to many on and off the trail. She loved being in nature as well as the camaraderie with fellow hikers. Her obituary is at: www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/concord-nh/natalie-duncan-11931776
We hope to see you on this hike, or if you can’t make it, please consider a donation in Natalie’s honor to Hike for Mental Health. Sending love your way, and thank you!

Thinking of Delorean
Delorean, you were the most loving and beautiful soul I’ve ever met.
So sorry for your loss. Best wishes, Ron, Janet, and Joan Koch
What a wonderful way to honor Natalie!
May Natalie’s memory be a blessing.
Thank you for bravely connecting us to a way to help others
She taught me about plants and foraging, and it was an honor to meet someone who appreciated nature so deeply.
Natalie taught me about plants and foraging. She showed me the wintergreen plant among others, and she loved the water. I was delighted to see she found one of the last Paw paws of the year in Virginia on her thru. It was truly an honor to meet someone who cared so deeply for the natural world. While I’m saddened by her passing, I’m grateful that she was able to accomplish a they hike of the Appalachian Trail, which so many have dreamed of, yet so few have accomplished. Her time here was brief but she touched so many people and made all of our lives better with her presence. I hope she is at peace now.
