Natalie Duncan Memorial Mt. Washington Hike for Mental Health — 19 Comments

  1. Natalie taught me about plants and foraging. She showed me the wintergreen plant among others, and she loved the water. I was delighted to see she found one of the last Paw paws of the year in Virginia on her thru. It was truly an honor to meet someone who cared so deeply for the natural world. While I’m saddened by her passing, I’m grateful that she was able to accomplish a they hike of the Appalachian Trail, which so many have dreamed of, yet so few have accomplished. Her time here was brief but she touched so many people and made all of our lives better with her presence. I hope she is at peace now.
