**Live Laugh Lexapro: My Journey with Mental Health**
Mental health has been a central part of my life, not just because of my own struggles, but because of the impact it has had on my family. For as long as I can remember, my mother battled with mental health issues and drug addiction. Her struggle was a constant presence in our lives, shaping my understanding of what it means to fight with an invisible enemy. Despite her resilience, she never received the help she needed. Over time, her mental health and addiction took everything from her—her home, her relationships, and eventually, her sense of self. Five years ago, she became homeless, and today, we don’t know where she is or if she is even alive.
In 2022, my own mental health took a severe hit when I lost my stepmom. Grief continued to overwhelm me through 2023, and the pain of her absence was unbearable. The loss felt like an endless, dark tunnel with no way out. This deep sorrow triggered suicidal ideation, a place where I never imagined I would be. The weight of my grief combined with my own mental health struggles pushed me to the brink, and I felt like I was drowning in sadness.
But in the midst of that despair, I found a lifeline: Lexapro. It wasn’t an instant fix, but it gave me the clarity and strength I needed to start climbing out of that deep, dark place.
That’s why my Hike for Mental Health page is called *Live Laugh Lexapro*. It’s a testament to the journey I’ve been on—a journey from surviving to truly living. Lexapro gave me the ability to see the possibility of laughter and life again, things that felt out of reach just a year ago.
By supporting this cause, you’re helping people access the resources they need before it’s too late. You’re giving them a chance to find their own lifeline, to live, laugh, and reclaim their lives. For me, this hike is not just about raising money; it’s about raising hope—for myself, for my family, and for everyone out there fighting to see another day.
