Join us this October as we hike to raise awareness and support mental health!
Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) is partnering with HIKE for Mental Health as part of their eighth annual #hikeOctober campaign to raise awareness of the challenges of mental illness, fund mental health research and conserve wilderness trails.
We will be hiking part of the Continental Divide Trail in Chama, NM at the Cumbres Pass trailhead. Being outside, especially in such vast and scenic environments, is known to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and boost overall well-being. The physical challenge of hiking, combined with the beauty of the trail, fosters mindfulness, allowing hikers to recharge mentally and emotionally, promoting resilience and a sense of peace.
1 in 4 families is affected by mental illness.
