A word about Tom…
As some of you may or may not be aware, our friend and Hike for Mental health co-founder Tom Kennedy recently underwent a liver transplant. The journey to get to this point was extremely difficult for Tom, and his path towards recovery, and the life he once enjoyed, will take some time.
During the time leading up to his transplant, Tom was open and transparent about the impact his medical challenges had on his mental health, and all along he’s also expressed his desire to return to nature, and to the work of Hike for Mental Health, the organization he helped found, and to this day, is very passionate about.
All of us look forward to the day when Tom is able to join us back out on the trails, and join upcoming Hike for Mental events, but until that day comes, if you would like to support Tom as he continues his recovery journey, we would invite you to support Hike for Mental Health in his honor.
There are many ways for you to engage, one of which is by donating directly at the Hike for Mental Health website. You can also join #hikeOctober this month, or even schedule your own hike. We know Tom would be so grateful for your support and involvement.
