HIKE for Mental Health is pleased to announce the donation of $14,000 to the Pacific Crest Trail Association. The donation is made possible by the hundreds of hikers who joined with HIKE for Mental Health in the past year and the thousands of sponsors who supported their efforts by making a donation in honor of their hikes.

This year’s donation brings to $36,000 the total amount we have given since our founding to support the PCTA’s mission of preserving and maintaining the Pacific Crest Trail.

As an all-volunteer group, 100% of the funds we raise from our hikes goes to our mission, with 80% dedicated to alleviating the suffering associated with mental illness and 20% as a “give-back” to non-profit groups that maintain trails.

We are honored to the present the PCTA with this year’s trail check for $14,000.
